Systematic Steps To Help Determine Failure
Step What See Next
One Nothing works
a. Check breaker by turning completely off and then on. On most installations, must do this both at the main home panel and a sub panel.
b. Next, check voltage to spa with ACTUAL meter. Check voltage hot to hot. You should have 220-240vac. If not, you have incoming power failure; not the spa.
c. If proper voltage to the spa, turn off power. Set meter to OHMS and check all fuses. If fuses are fine, likely a board failure.
Two Spa is running but no digital readout.
a. Do jet buttons work? If so, likely the topside. Could be the board.
b. If digital is out and buttons don't work, either a topside or board failure.
Three Spa is running but giving error code. See Error Codes and Their Meaning
Four Spa is running, no code, but spa is not hot.
a. If everything works but water is getting cold and no error, likely the heater. To test you need a voltmeter. Turn off spa power and set meter to OHMS. Place a probe on each heater connection. You should have 10-15k ohm resistance. If not, you have a bad heater.
b. If ohm check is fine, change the voltmeter to read above 250vac. Turn on spa. When the heater light or icon comes on, CAREFULLY place a prove on each heater connection. You should have 220-240vac. If no, you have a bad board.

Summary:

You must check incoming power first and confirm actual voltage to the spa. I have seen breakers partially fail and deliver 24vac to the spa. The spa will not operate. So YOU say power is there but in reality, it is not.

Once you know current is correct, then either the above or the error codes will help ID what is wrong. During business hours you can contact LIVE CHAT or other times, go to the Live Chat link and leave a message.
