Why is my topside saying FL2?

Answer: means the flow switch is not opening. Since you can not adjust the flow switch, you replace. In rare occasions it means the board has failed but that is unlikely.

Why do I have a --- on my topside?

Answer: This is watchdog mode. It means the board has seen a problem it can't identify. Most common is simply the temp sensor confusing the board. A good but not perfect check is to unplug the sensr plug and powering up. If it goes to a sensor error instead of ---, most likely its the sensor. After that its likely the board but could be incoming power or the transformer.

What's the difference between the standard oval pillows and the newer 2007+ pillows?

Answer: They are the same size. The newer pillows have a plastic Jacuzzi Logo Emblem. Many of the newer models have LED behind the pillow so when it lights up, the pillow lights up. But you can put the new design on the older spas and you get a plastic logo rather than the name molded on the pillow.

How long should heaters last?

Answer: The number one cause of early heater failure is water quality; either not maintaining or having poor water to start. You should expect to get about 5 years but many get more than that.

How do you install a topside?

Answer: The topside itself is simply double sticky tape into place. Often you can just pry with your fingers off but if not, cover the end of a standard screwdriver and slide the blade between the spa shell and cover and twist and break the contact. Then clean the area and install new topside.
